"Muse Series - Foxy" is abstract with playful touches: fox ears and a fox tail worn like a shawl. She began as one of several versions for a commission, and when the client chose another, this one stayed with me as part of my Muse series.

In each Muse painting, I plan the face and let everything else grow intuitively. Florals bloom over her eyes like the emotions we sense before we can name them: feeling without seeing. Is she the muse, or is she being inspired? I've never decided.
